Hi!  I'm Lana, the baker behind SweetieBug Confections

SweetieBug officially developed in 2012, when I hopped onto the cakepop mania train! I felt like Oprah ... cakepops for you and cakepops for you and cakepops for EVERYONE!!  My love for all things cakepops then developed into cakes and cupcakes, decorating special treats for all my friends and family.  And more recently, I have been completely enamored and obsessed with custom sugar cookies (my cookie cutter collection is a little ridiculous...)  which are the sweetest treat to add to any special occasion.  I'm a one-woman show, but I'm so very lucky to have an amazing support person (AKA: Momma Mia) who is the best cakepop roller, cocoa bomb shell creator and packaging wizard in the land.

When I'm not baking (which is my side hustle, by the way) I'm working with amazing women and babies as a home visiting nurse with a program call Nurse-Family Partnership and Help Me Grow.  I've been blessed to be able to see nursing from a variety of lenses, including a floor nurse in our local hospitals, at several pediatrician offices, as an asthma educator and many more ... but pediatrics is my specialty!!  Who doesn't love baby cuddles?!!

My hubby, of 18 years, is an amazing support and encouragement of my sugar-filled dreams ... getting to eat all the leftover treats definitely helps!  And my little also keep me busy as a super-mom, as he lives his best teenage life hanging with friends, running cross-country and track and all the church activities he can sign up for.  I wouldn't trade it for all the cookie cutters in the world!
